Executive Board, Brno City Council

Council of the City of Brno is the executive body of the City of Brno in the field of independent competency, has 11 members, consists of the Mayor, Deputy Mayors and other councillors. The Council issues generally binding decrees in delegated competency and in necessary and urgent cases also in the field of independent competency. The Council safeguards the city management by the approved budget and is entitled to approve some budget arrangements. It manages the committees activity and the Municipality activity in the field of independent competency and sets tasks to them. It appoints and removes the directors of Municipality departments.
